cnn’s hologram

in case you avoided cnn like the plague last night, as i did, you missed something else historic. (for the record, cnn’s production is on a step above everybody else) cnn beamed one of their correspondents from chicago into the cnn election headquarters in new york. see for yourself, and hear a little about how it was done:

call me crazy, but i see this as another tool for video venues in churches. different lighting fixtures like the dml 1200 or the dl 3 (both from high end systems) would have the possibility to project such an image to a crowd, making it easier than actual projectors. i’m playing a guessing game, because this technology is so new. but i think it would make the video venue idea even more real.

thoughts?

Does this mean that in a few years when the church plant in Boston is so big that we have to have two locations that you are going to beam Nic from one location to the other? If so, then you are the coolest guy I know.

@jenna-yes. this means in BOSTON, there could possibly be virtual nic burleson’s all over the city, and even abroad to cool places like new zealand. imagine having virtual a virtual nic burleson giving his talk live in a theatre, as well as another theater across town, as well as standing on the street corner. awesome? yes i think so.
